YouFIX Service Provider Terms of Service

Legal Information & Policies


These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules and responsibilities for service providers (“Service Providers”) who use the YouFIX platform. By creating an account or bidding on a project, you agree to these Terms.


For purposes of these Terms, the term “Employer” refers to any individual, property owner, landlord, business, or other party that posts a project on YouFIX and engages a Service Provider to perform work.

Who This Applies To

  • These Terms apply to the account holder, whether you work as a sole proprietor, under an LLC, corporation, or any other business structure.
  • Throughout this document, “Service Provider” means the person or company that created the account.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • You must be 18 or older and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • You are responsible for knowing and following all local, state, and federal laws where your projects take place.
  • It is up to you to determine if licensing, bonding, or insurance is required for your work. YouFIX always recommends carrying all of the above.

Accounts & Access

  • One account per Service Provider. Creating multiple accounts is not allowed.
  • No account sharing. Only you or your authorized business may use the account.
  • YouFIX reserves the right to conduct background checks in the future. Minor issues (such as traffic violations) will not affect eligibility, but serious safety concerns may.

Payments

  • YouFIX uses Stripe Connect for payments. After creating your account, you will receive an automated email to set up your Stripe account. This setup must be complete before you can receive payouts.
  • Platform Fee: YouFIX charges 10% of the project total, capped at $500 per project.
  • Payouts: Funds are released to you when the employer marks the project complete and your Stripe account is active and accurate.
  • Employers may not withhold approval once a project is complete.

Disputes

  • All disputes between employers and Service Providers will be handled internally by YouFIX.
  • YouFIX has the final authority over escrow payouts and payment release decisions.

Work Quality & Liability

  • Any guarantees, warranties, or follow-up work are strictly between you and the employer.
  • YouFIX is not liable for damages, injuries, or losses caused by your work.

Conduct & Prohibited Activities

When using YouFIX, Service Providers agree not to:

  1. Circumvent YouFIX by arranging or accepting payment outside the platform.
  2. Harass, discriminate, or abuse any user through the platform.
  3. Misrepresent skills, licenses, or qualifications.
  4. Post, bid on, or accept projects that are illegal or require permits/licenses you do not have.

Suspension & Termination

  • YouFIX may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating these Terms.
  • You may appeal a suspension by email. Appeals will be reviewed but not guaranteed.

Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
  • However, you must always follow the laws and licensing rules of the location where the work is performed.

Branding & Communication

  • You may use YouFIX’s name and logo to promote that you are a YouFIX Service Provider.
  • By creating an account, you agree to receive emails or texts about projects, payouts, and platform updates.

Updates to These Terms

  • YouFIX may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the new Terms.
